Holiday Acres Resort is nestled on the serene shores of Lake Thompson in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. We have a small, seasonal cafe, which prides itself on offering delicious breakfast options and coffee drinks to our guests, utilizing fresh local ingredients, providing them with a delightful start to their day. Our cafe provides a tranquil escape surrounded by natural beauty. The resort provides a range of amenities and activities, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable stay.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as seasonal baristas. As a barista at Holiday Acres Resort, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our guests by crafting delicious coffee and espresso beverages. Additionally, you will take and serve food orders and may assist the chef with light food preparation, ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality batch coffee and espresso drinks quickly and accurately
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel welcome and satisfied
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and dining area
- Assist with light food preparation as needed
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role preferred. Training will be provided.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso beverage preparation preferred. Training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
